Child Care Assistance Program EKCCC's Child Care Assistance Program helps eligible families with the costs of child care, by paying either part or all of the tuition charged by a child care program or individual. We assist in determining who is eligible, match clients to available child care resources, help families find quality child care, process provider payments and address unmet child care needs in the service regions. Purpose The purpose of the this program is to provide access to quality child care that enables parents to work, attend education or training programs, or to participate in the K-TAP program without distraction. Child Care is a supportive service to: (1) prevent or remedy abuse, neglect or exploitation of children; (2) strengthen and maintain families; (3) prevent famiy dissolution; (4) prevent out-of-home placement; (5) reduce parent dependency on CHFS by promoting self-sufficiency
